Short Biography
Jessica Oliver is an?Assistant Professor of?Teaching?in?the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing at the?University of California Irvine.?She has 13 years of nursing experience?in areas?such as adult and pediatric medical-surgical care, home health, and adult hospice.?She received her DNP from Azusa Pacific University in 2023 with?the?project “Use of High-Fidelity Interprofessional Simulation in Preparing New Graduates for Pediatric End of Life Care.”?As?a?former?member of the?nursing faculty at Azusa Pacific University,?Oliver?has?managed both the skills and simulation labs and has taught many courses across pre-licensure including fundamentals, medical-surgical/geriatrics, pediatrics, and community health nursing. She also serves as an advisor and clinical expert for current DNP students whose project focus involves?nursing?education, simulation, and/or end of life care.??Jessica’s recent scholarship efforts include the forging of new clinical and research partnerships abroad, with focus on supporting the rapidly-evolving nursing profession in Vietnam.
