Clinical Interests
Jonah Hebert-Davies, M.D., F.R.C.S.C., is a board certified, dual fellowship trained in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery and Shoulder and elbow surgery. Dr Hebert-Davies specializes in orthopedic trauma with a focus on upper extremity trauma and reconstruction, as well the shoulder and elbow with a focus on joint replacement. Other clinical interests include orthopedic trauma of upper extremity, peri-articular (joint) fractures and non-unions, elbow joint release and ligament reconstruction, and rotator cuff disease. He strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr Hebert-Davies has a particular passion for helping patients with complex shoulder and elbow trauma, offering unique and innovative solutions that require out of the box thinking.
Background
Dr. Hebert-Davies earned his medical degree at the University of Montreal in Canada. He then did his residency in Orthopedic Residency at the same program before heading west to complete an Orthopedic Trauma fellowship at the prestigious Harborview Medical Center in Seattle WA. He then completed an additional year in Shoulder & Elbow surgery at Washington University in St. Louis MO. He previously worked at Harborview Medical Center before joining UC Irvine Health.
Research Interests
Dr Hebert-Davies has published numerous articles and textbook chapters over the course of his career. He has been on scientific and safety boards for several national multicenter studies and is also the Elbow section editor for the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma. He is involved in numerous longitudinal research projects on shoulder and elbow fractures and arthroplasty.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Orthopedic Trauma Association, the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society.
