Short Biography
Dr. Anil K. Tiwari is a board-certified UCI Health anesthesiologist who specializes in cardiothoracic anesthesiology.
His clinical focus is on acute heart, lung and vascular disease, with expertise in echocardiography, blood conservation during surgery and regional nerve block techniques to manage postoperative pain.
Tiwari earned his medical degree at the UCI School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in anesthesiology. He completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where his training included working with coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, heart and lung transplant patients.
Before joining UCI Health and the UCI School of Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care, Tiwari worked in a group practice, providing anesthesiology services in the Southern California region.
