                    Short Biography
                    
                    
                
                            Herman Johannesmeyer, Pharm.D., BCPS received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and completed a two-year pharmacotherapy residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Before joining UCI, Johannesmeyer held an appointment as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the Marshall B. Ketchum University College of Pharmacy in Fullerton, California and maintained a clinical role at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. 
Johannesmeyer is scheduled to instruct students on internal medicine pharmacotherapy within the UCI School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. His research interests include corticosteroid optimization in acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and the effects of antibiotic timing on clinical outcomes.
