Research Abstract
Novel Materials for Quantum Computers
Established in September 2011, our group develop and use optical and electrical probes to study novel phases in condensed matter systems. Some of these phases are characterized by spontaneous symmetry breaking while others possess topological order. We are particularly interested in topological insulators, topological superconductors, 2D materials and quantum Hall systems. Their novel properties may be exploited for topologically protected quantum computing.
