Research Abstract
My research interests are diverse including health information literacy, health disparities, evidence-based medicine, bioinformatics, information retrieval, bibliometrics, predatory publishing, and AI in Medical Education. I have co-authored numerous research papers in some of these areas. Since the early 2000s, I have played a key role in conducting systematic reviews, significantly contributing to numerous papers on various medical topics. My scholarly contributions can be explored on Google Scholar.
Since 2010, I have served as a librarian editor for the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine https://westjem.com/editors-editorial-board.

Short Biography
I earned my Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) degree from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, specializing in Community Health Education, from San Jose State University. I have served as a Research Librarian in Health Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Libraries since September 1987.
During my tenure at UCI, I have designed, developed, and led a wide range of workshops and seminars with a special emphasis on Evidence-Based Medicine and Self-Directed Learning (SDL). My collaborative efforts with medical educators have extended to co-presenting at various accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) workshops, both locally and nationally.
