Research Abstract
David Theo Goldberg is the Director of the University of California Humanities Research Institute. Formerly Director and Professor of the School of Justice Studies, a law and social science program, at Arizona State University, he is the author of Racist Culture: Philosophy and the Politics of Meaning (1993), Racial Subjects: Writing on Race in America (1997), Ethical Theory and Social Issues (1990/1995), The Racial State (2002), The Threat of Race (2009), and co-author of The Future of Thinking (2010). He edited Anatomy of Racism (1990), Multiculturalism: A Critical Reader (1995), and co-edited Race Critical Theories (2005), Rethinking Postcolonialism (2002), Companion on Gender Studies (2002) and Companion on Race and Ethnic Studies (2005). He was the founding co-editor of Social Identities: Journal for the Study of Race, Nation and Culture.
