Research Abstract
Ongoing Research/Projects

BPI severe hemorrhagic trauma study (Principle Investigator). We are participating in a multi-center trial of an investigational drug (rBPI121, XOMA Corporation) used in the treatment of severe hemorrhagic shock.

Endoscopic ultrasound in the evaluation of suspected common bile duct stones (Co-investigator). We are participating along with the Gastroenterology Department in a multi-centered trial comparing endoscopic ultrasound to ERCP and intra-operative cholangiogram in the evaluation of common duct stones.

Nitric oxide in ARDS (Co-investigator). We are participating along with the Pulmonary-Critical Care Department in a multi-centered trial comparing therapeutic nitric oxide with placebo in the treatment of ARDS.
