Roger Walsh MD., Ph.D., D.H.L. graduated from Queensland University with degrees in psychology, physiology, neuroscience and medicine. His interests focus on topics such as exceptional psychological health and wellbeing, practices to cultivate them such as meditation, yoga and lifestyle, virtues such as wisdom and altruism, transpersonal and integral studies, and the psychological roots of our global crises. His publications include the books Meditation, Paths Beyond Ego, The World of Shamanism, and The World's Great Wisdom. His research and writings have received over twenty national and international awards and honors as well as an honorary doctorate, while his teaching has received one national and six university awards.
