Research Abstract
Dr. Richard Allen Hill is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine. He received his Medical Degree from Northwestern University Medical School with residency training at the Pennsylvania State University and additional specialty training in glaucoma at the University of Southern California. He is a board certified ophthalmologist with a tertiary care practice specializing in difficult to treat pediatric and adult glaucomas.
His research interests are in the bio medical applications of lasers and in the development of new surgical approaches to the treatment of glaucoma. He is further devoted to national and international ophthalmic education with on going humanitarian efforts directed at aiding recovering countries with restructuring their ophthalmic education. Dr. Hill is currently active in the restructuring of ophthalmic education in Armenia as well as re-establishing clinical expertise through the fellowship/educational process.
