Short Biography
Biography
Petra Petry is an Adjunct Professor of Italian at UCI, MT SAC, and Spanish at Coastline Community Colleges in the Costa Mesa Humanities World Languages division. She is a Polyglot, speaking 5 languages. Petra Petry, received her Doctorate Degree in Foreign Languages, with an emphasis on Literature, History and Cultural Studies, from the University Ca' Foscari in Venice, Italy in 2001. She worked full-time for 10 Years in Dental & Maxillofacial surgery to sustain herself and pay for her studies. She graduated with the intention to teach at the same University, but her personal life brought her to Newport Beach, CA.
Petra was born in the Czech, but she was raised Italian in a small international city Venice in Italy. She had the opportunity at a very young age to travel to Europe, Asia, and Central America, developing her fluent knowledge of 5 languages and achieving her goals in entertainment later acting, singing, and writing. Petra teaches at the University level, developing the talents of students interested in succeeding in professions that require the ability to speak a foreign language. She has been teaching Italian at Fondazione-Italia - an Italian non-profit organization for the past 15 years.
