Short Biography
Dr. Yesim Yilmaz Demirdag is a board-certified UCI Health allergist and immunologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of immunodeficiencies in children and adults, asthma, food allergies, and eczema.
Her other clinical interests urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling), rhinitis, sinusitis, drug allergies, and eosinophilic esophagitis.
Yilmaz Demirdag obtained her medical degree at Akdeniz University School of Medicine in Antalya, Turkey. She completed residencies in pediatrics at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she also completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology. She also completed a fellowship in clinical cytogenetics at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT.
Her research interests include the genetics of primary immune deficiencies, immune deficiencies in chromosomal abnormalities, drug allergies, eczema, and food allergies.
Yilmaz Demirdag seeks to provide the best clinical practice and communicate evidence-based medicine to her patients and colleagues.
She sees patients at UC Irvine Medical Center’s Pavilion 1 in Orange and at UCI Health Gottschalk Medical Plaza in IrvineHealth Gottschalk Medical Plaza in Irvine.
