Short Biography
Dr. Irene Tsai is a UCI Health board-certified radiologist who specializes in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.

Dr. Tsai obtained her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she was the recipient of the Leo G. Rigler award for outstanding graduate in the field of radiology. She then completed her diagnostic radiology residency at UCLA, where she also subsequently completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging. Following her training, she served as Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA in the Breast Imaging and Acute Care Imaging sections. During this time, she also served as Program Director for the UCLA Breast Imaging Fellowship. She then relocated to Orange County where she worked in private practice in the field of breast imaging for several years, prior to joining UCI.

Among her academic pursuits, Dr. Tsai has authored book chapters in breast imaging. Her clinical interests include breast MRI, high risk screening, and imaging guided breast interventions.
