Jon G. Steller, M.D., is clinician scientist in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado. After obtaining degrees in Neurobiology and Classics at the University of California, Irvine, he then completed medical school and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine as well. He then was accepted as a Fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine at University of Colorado where he completed his training in 2020. Past research exploration has focused on use of ultrasound in primary care and obstetrics, and currently he is attempting improve the sonographic triage of fetuses affected by intrauterine growth restriction through evaluation of novel cerebral and umbilical circulation measurements. In addition to his clinical research, he shares a passion for the intersection of Space Medicine and Reproductive Health. He is currently working on projects assessing the risks of long-duration spaceflight on the gynecologic and reproductive health of our astronauts as well as evaluating the effects of chronic low-dose irradiation on pregnancy outcomes in mice.
