Short Biography
Angela Jun is a clinical associate professor in the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine. Jun received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of San Diego and Master of Science in Nursing in the family nurse practitioner track from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has more than 30 years of experience in nursing and nine years in higher education. At UCI, Jun has been leading the DNP project planning and implementation for all DNP doctoral students and DNP Chairs and has been serving as a member of the multiple committees within UCI. She practices as a family nurse practitioner at the UCI Student Health Center. She is currently involved in global educational work with the School of Nursing at Zera International College of Health Sciences in Zambia. Prior to this appointment, Jun was an assistant professor at Azusa Pacific University, where she taught major courses in the family nurse practitioner program. Her clinical and QI interests include hospice and palliative care in the geriatric population, dementia in the aging population, health disparity, healthcare professional burnouts, and global health.
