Dr. Alexis A Seegan completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, Irvine where she served as chief resident during her final year. She currently is an attending physician at UC Irvine Medical Center’s adult inpatient psychiatry unit and is board certified in adult psychiatry. Additionally she is credentialed by the UC Irvine Medical Center to perform electroconvulsive therapy.

Dr. Seegan is actively involved with clinical training for residents and medical students. She is also involved in educating residents in specialties outside psychiatry through the Graduate Medical Education’s annual intern training program and has delivered interdisciplinary grand rounds to other hospital departments.

As a resident she served as the Area 6 (California) resident fellow member to the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and provides mentorship for residents interested in becoming involved in organized psychiatry.
