Dr Wirth has a Master’s Degree in Physiology and Cell Biology, a Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College, residency in general surgery, and completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California – Irvine Medical Center.
Dr. Wirth specializes in aesthetic surgery with emphasis upon facial and neck surgery: face lifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery and neck lifts. He also does body contouring such as elective breast surgery (breast augmentation), tummy tucks (abdominoplasty) and liposuction as well as body contouring procedures. Through reconstructive surgery, he is also involved in the care of patients with cancer, especially breast reconstruction and skin cancer, surgery for congenital anomalies and for trauma.
Skin care is also an important part of Dr. Wirth’s practice. To that end he is available to provide various non-surgical skin treatments, including injections for facial enhancement and rejuvenation such as lip enhancement, fillers (such as Juvaderm® and Restylane®), fat injections, laser treatments, Botox® injections, and treatments to enhance the health and appearance of your skin.
In addition to on-going educational seminars, he has co-edited a plastic surgery textbook, lectured extensively, and published articles in basic science journals, general surgery journals and in both national and international journals of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
