2016 – 2019 Principle Investigator. Compare UF. A multi-center, nationally representative, observational registry with prospective longitudinal follow up outcome of fibroid treatment.
2017 – 2017 Co- investigator. A Double Blind, Multi-center, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Parallel group, Phase 3 Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Ropivacaine 0.2% Pre-Filled Dispenser for the Treatment of Postsurgical Pain in Patients Undergoing Cesarean Deliver
2016 – 6/2017 Principle Investigator- Randomized trial to increase adherence to cervical cancer screening guidelines for young women. (PCORI).
2015 – Present Principal Investigator – Uterine Leiomyoma Treatment with Radiofrequency Ablation (ULTRA). A national registry for treatment of Uterine fibroid using radiation frequency vibration.
2011 – Present UC Fibroid Research Network. Collaborating with the UC campuses with regards to surgical treatment of fibroids.
2013 – 2018 Principal Investigator – Uterine Leiomyoma Treatment with Radiofrequency Ablation (ULTRA). A multi-center research study involving 5 UC Campuses.
2004 – 2005 Analyzed surgical techniques that effectively treat infertility and severe chronic pelvic pain for endometriosis, manage fibroids, and determine the role of robotic assisted laparoscopy in gynecological surgeries. Fellowship Research. Palo Alto, CA.
2002 – 2004 Phase III clinical trial of Asoprisnil, TAP Pharmaceutical Products involved in recruiting, screening and tracking patients in this study. My practice was invited to participate as a study site due to our volume and patient population. The drug has shown potential use for treatment of leiomyomas in both shrinking them and decreasing bleeding.
2000 – 2002 Regulation of human ovarian granulose cell function by hepatocyte growth factor and insulin-like growth factor I. This was a joint project between the REI Program at St. Louis University and the School of Dentistry at Southern Illinois University. Involved in all phases of the project including certain administrative functions, patient recruitment, sample collection and data analysis.
2000 – 2002 Role of decorin and thrombospondin-2 in cervical effacement in pregnancy. This study explored the role that decorin/thrombospondin-2 plays on the softening of the connective tissue in the cervix.
Summer 1995 Research with Dr. Weinstein (New York Medical College) in use of SPEC scan in Lyme Disease diagnosis. Secured grant from DuPont supporting continued research.
