Dr.Yu has published more than 110 research papers. He was the Department Chair for 30 years (1982-2012).

Dr. Yu’s major research interest is the neurobiological basis of rehabilitation medicine including studies on interrelated areas of neural plasticity such as motor control,recovery of function after central nervous system injury, learning and memory, and brain development.
