Research Abstract
The neurobiology of the vestibular system is the research interest of Dr. Blanks. Particular attention is paid to the interaction of the vestibular system with neural systems that control eye movements and autonomic systems related to motion sickness.
Basic and clinical research on the neurological bases of obstructive sleep apnea is also being conducted in Dr. Blank's lab.
