Short Biography
Dr. Lee is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC-Irvine and a board-certified heart failure cardiologist. His clinical interests include patient selection for durable LVADs, mechanical circulatory support for cardiogenic shock, multimodal imaging, and cardiometabolic health.
After graduating with honors from the University of Texas, Dr. Lee completed his doctorate in medicine from the UT-Houston McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the Los Angeles County Hospital and the University of Southern California, general cardiology fellowship at the Baylor Scott and White hospital, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship at the University of Washington. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT.
Dr. Lee has presented at several national cardiology conferences including the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, Heart Failure Society of America, and American College of Cardiology. His publications have appeared in the American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of the American Heart Association, Cell Death Discovery, Artificial Organs, and the Journal for Biomedical Optics. He has also written for ACC.org and Medscape.
