Short Biography
Dr. Hanson-Kegerreis is a lecturer in the Composition Program. She received her PhD in History from UC Santa Barbara, where she taught courses in composition, academic writing, and medieval European history. She is from the LA area and completed her BA at UCI.

Courses frequently taught at UCI:
Writing 45 (Intensive Writing), often with a focus on the genre of science fiction through texts by authors such as Octavia E. Butler, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Ted Chiang.
Writing 50 (Critical Reading and Rhetoric), often with a focus on the genre of science fiction.
Writing 60 (Argument and Research), often with a focus on climate change in the U.S. and environmental justice.
