Dr. Warikoo completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse as well as a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Warikoo is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is currently Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. In her role at UCI Health, Dr. Warikoo developed the first Pediatric specialty clinic, Mood disorders clinic. In her role at the Center for Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, she provides ongoing consultation and training to primary care, behavioral pediatricians, neurologists and other professionals in the areas of autism and psychiatric co-morbities.
Dr. Warikoo’s areas of expertise include Autism spectrum disorders and mood disorders. She has published several papers in the areas of schizophrenia, treatment adherence, depot antipsychotics, ADHD as well as tardive dyskinesia.
Dr. Warikoo is a regional expert in Autism and mood disorders and spends much of her time consulting and training primary care and other specialties on the best practices in management in those with autism with psychiatric comorbidities. In her role, she has been invited to provide CME meetings in the aforementioned areas to primary care, other specialists.
