Research Abstract
Clinician Scientist and Educator with focus on Surgical Neuro-Oncology, Skull base microsurgery, Endoscopic minimally invasive surgery, Image-guided surgery, Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Stereotactic tumor surgery and cranial nerve disorder surgery (Trigeminal Neuralgia, Hemifacial Spasm, Glossopharyngeal Neuralgia). Experienced in building and leading academic departments and multidisciplinary clinical programs. Experienced in training medical students and residents as well as establishing and leading ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency training programs. Clinical and basic science laboratory research interests focussed on glioma biology with translational emphasis. Experienced national neurosurgery organizer and leader with focus on evidence-based medicine clinical practice guideline development as well as socio-economic, health policy and regulatory issues as they relate to neurosurgery.
