Research Abstract
How and where do people look for information? What sources do they consult first? second? never? How soon are they satisfied and stop looking? How do they evaluate the information they find? How do they judge the credibility, authenticity, and currency of the information? To what extent do they turn to a person (friend, colleague, librarian, expert, etc.) or to a thing (online source, paper source, television news, etc.)? Does information-seeking vary by gender, ethnic background, level of education, age?
