Research Abstract
Dr. Wessel's research deals with high-energy-density plasma physics, novel configurations for the production of high intensity neutrons, and fusion energy. Applications include the production of radio-nuclides, materials effects, and energy. He is a specialist in the physics of intense-plasma beam generation and propagation and pulsed power. He has served previously as principal investigator for: the U.S. Department of Energy, the Los Alamos National Laboratories, Sandia National Laboratories, NASA, US Air Force, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Wessel has published over 75 papers in archival journals, books, and conference proceedings.
