Research Abstract
Mainly Dr. Chang has conducted patient-oriented clinical research in "Thrombotic Microangiopathic Syndromes", especially in critical care settings. His particular interest has been Postoperative Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) and unrecognized clinical syndromes associated with TTP, such as Acute respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and Peripheral Digit Ischemic Syndrome (PDIS). Additionally, he has studied the different types of Thrombotic Microangiopathic Syndromes and their relationship to ADAMTS 13 activity. Neoplastic Fever is another area of interest, particulary the use of "Naproxen Test".
