Research Interests
Theoretical study in strongly correlated electronic systems, high-temperature superconductivity, quantum magnetism
Research Abstract
My main research interests are: theoretical study in strongly correlated electronic systems, high-temperature superconductivity, and quantum magnetism.

We live in a very interesting era of condensed matter physics. It has been understood for quite some time that many of the condensed matter systems cannot be described by the traditional "quasi-free" theory of electrons, due to strong Coulomb interaction. Examples include high-temperature superconductors, 2D electron systems, frustrated magnets, etc.
Nowadays, the theory is directed towards understanding and formulating new principles which would enable us to describe such systems successfully. That is, to give us a predictive power for new phenomena, and novel material properties.

I study complex properties of new materials using microscopic modeling, diagrammatic technique, and comparison with the numerical studies. In doing so I always try to connect to an existing experimental data or to make a verifiable prediction for a future experiment. I am interested in the novel quantum effects in strongly correlated electronic systems which include high-temperature superconductors, low-dimensional quantum magnets, and others.
This field is of great interest in part because the technological progress allows to create materials with highly nontrivial quantum properties.
