Research Abstract
BARRY SIEGEL, a former national correspondent for the Los Angeles Times, directs the literary journalism program at UC Irvine. In 2002 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing. His narratives have also garnered dozens of other honors, among them two PEN Center West Literary Awards in Journalism, the Livingston Award, and the American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award. His eight books include five volumes of literary journalism and three novels of legal suspense.
