Research Abstract
Dr. Jennifer Simpson graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Kenyon College. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Michigan, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. Her primary expertise is in the field of pediatric ophthalmology, with clinical interests in cortical visual impairment, ultra-rare eye disease and congenital eye anomalies. Her research interests investigate novel drug therapies for corneal cystinosis, telemedicine in ultra-rare eye disease, and novel infant screening modalities for cortical visual impairment. She has been named a "Best Doctor in America" since 2005, is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and serves as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board for the Cystinosis Research Foundation.
