Abstract
I graduated from UCLA with a Master’s Degree and Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 1991 and later received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The George Washington University. My clinical practice focus has been mainly primary care and urgent care in underserved populations.

My other interest professionally is in education. I began teaching in 1993, first at CSULB, then at UC Irvine in the Department of Family Medicine in 1995- at the inception of the post-masters FNP Program. Since that time, I have taught many courses including Acute Common Problems in Primary Care, Office Procedures for Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Health and Physical Assessment.
