Abstract
I am from the Boston area, and began my RN education while living there, relocating to California in 1980. I worked in various hospital settings butloved critical care and trauma the most. Later, I worked as a school nurse in an urban community college and this experience prompted me to change career directions in nursing and become a nurse practitioner. I graduated from UCLA with a Master’s Degree and Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 1991. Since that time, my clinical practice focus has been mainly primary care and urgent care. Currently I practice at UCI's Gottschalk Medicsl Plaza one-half day a week for family medicine.

My other interest professionally is in education. I began teaching in 1993, first at CSULB, then at UCI in 1995 at the inception of the post-masters FNP Program. Since that time, I have taught the content for Acute Common Problems in Primary Care and Procedures for Nurse Practitioners. In addition, I coordinate the FNP students’ clinical internships.
