Research Abstract |
My major research interests at this time fall into two distinct areas. First, a group of colleagues and I are investigating the relationship between moral reasoning and experiences during the college years and moral action during early adulthood. Second, in Russia, several colleagues and I are studying the emergence of new political forces in a post-Communist state, particularly around the emergence of: 1) the non-governmental nuclear environmental movement and the forms which citizen action takes in it; 2) the relationship between environment and health in Russia; and 3) approaches to prevention of violent conflict in ethnic/nationalities disputes in the Caucasus region of the former Soviet Union. |
