Research Abstract
Professor Quillian's teaching and research is concentrated on the design of a new form of societal organization. The aim of his current research is the development of a form of society hypothetically superior to that of both capitalist democracy and socialism, as currently practiced and understood. His previous work, for which he is best known, was in the 1960s on artificial intelligence involving computer simulation of human memory and language processing. Professor Quillian's courses deal with contemporary social and political thought, economic stratification, mass communication, and "radical social proposals."
