Research Abstract |
Nancy Lee Ruyter received her Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate School. She is the author of the books REFORMERS AND VISIONARIES: THE AMERICANIZATION OF THE ART OF DANCE and THE CULTIVATION OF BODY AND MIND IN 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN DELSARTISM and of articles on Delsartism, dance in the Hispanic world, and Balkan dance in DANCE CHRONICLE, CHOREOGRAPHY AND DANCE, DANCE RESEARCH JOURNAL,and other publications. She choreographs and reconstructs Spanish dance. She teaches Graduate Bibliography and Research, Dance History, Hispanic Dance History, and Spanish Dance. | |
