Dr. Walsh is involved in six research areas: 1) comparison of different schools of psychology and psychotherapy, especially existential, humanistic and cognitive perspectives, 2) studies of Asian psychologies and philosophies, 3) the effects of meditation, 4) transpersonal psychology, which explores exceptional psychological wellbeing, 5) the psychology of religion and 6) the psychology of human survival: an examination of the psychological causes and conseuqences of the current global crises.
