Abstract
Deforestation in the humid tropics leads to erosion and changes in soil chemistry, structure and biology. These changes sometimes make restoration difficult. We experiment with methods of restoring degraded cattle pasture, using native and non-native species of trees and seedlings that we inoculate with mycorrhizal fungi.
